Wayne Art Center’s Summer Art Camp 2023, now in its 39th year, offers 10 one-week sessions with morning and afternoon classes scheduled weekdays throughout the summer. Join Wayne Art Center for an awe-inspiring experience this summer as we explore the vast connections between art and nature through Summer Art Camp 2023: The Art of Nature. Trek through the many habitats that make up our world and experience art from each unique environment. From deserts to rainforests to mountainous regions, campers, ages 5-17 will learn about famous artists who were impassioned by nature and how art was created through their diverse styles and techniques. With over 200 classes to choose from in drawing, painting, cartooning, ceramics, sculpture, photography, cooking, jewelry and more, watch your child’s creativity come alive and thrive!
LUNCH BUNCH: 12:00 – 12:30PM Available ONLY to full-day campers. Campers, please bring a nut-free bag lunch & water bottle. Parents MUST register for LUNCH BUNCH each week if enrolling their children in a morning and afternoon session.
AFTERNOON SESSIONS: 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM LATE AFTERNOON SESSIONS: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM SAC 2023 REGISTRATION: Enrollment opens March 2nd. Space is limited and registration is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Class space will not be reserved until full payment is received. WAC is member-supported. A current membership is required to enroll in any camp classes. Summer Art Camp registration closes at 1 pm every Friday prior to each camp session. SAC 2023 Policies and ProceduresSAC 2023 VOLUNTEERS: Camp volunteers are an integral part of Summer Camp at Wayne Art Center! From classroom set up, helping campers with art projects, snack breaks and classroom clean up, the extra help volunteers provide make all of our classes run smoothly. SAC 2023 Volunteer Availability Form Medical, Emergency and Release Forms – New this year! All forms are to be completed through ePACT, a secure online emergency network. After an online registration is submitted, parents will receive an email from ePACT that contains a link to create an account; click on the ePACT link and follow the instructions to complete all medical and emergency information. Please check your email and contact us if you have not received the link within 2 weeks of registering for camp. Links are usually emailed 24 to 48 hours after registration. You MUST sign up for ePACT via the provided link ONLY. ePACT forms need to be completed, signed and submitted prior to the start of camp classes.
Scholarships – Wayne Art Center offers a limited number of need-based scholarships. Requests must be sent in writing at least 30 days prior to the class start date. If applying, please submit written requests to Wayne Art Center's Executive Director, Nancy Campbell at nancy@wayneart.org.
T-Shirts – Every camper receives one free SAC 2023 T-Shirt to design during each enrolled class.
