Gifts of Tribute

A commemorative gift to the Wayne Art Center is a thoughtful way to honor a friend or loved one. Your gift of tribute provides invaluable support of a unique cultural resource that has been enriching our community for 90 years. Gifts of Tribute will support the Annual Fund unless otherwise designated by the family and are tax deductible as allowed by the law.

The Josephine M. and Calvin W. Schmidt Scholarship Fund

Celebrating a legacy rooted in beauty, community and creativity, this new fund assists students with all creative pursuits including the passions of Jo and Cal-staying ahead of the curve, gathering friends around garden-grown meals, and embracing art in everyday life shaping their community and three grandchildren who proudly carry on their vibrant lifestyle.

Cindy Friedman Memorial Fund

Cindy was a devoted friend, talented artist and enthusiastic champion of the arts who selflessly dedicated her efforts to the coordination of the internationally recognized Art Quilt Elements exhibition at Wayne Art Center. Your gift will advance exhibition and arts educational programming for individuals of all ages, abilities, and economic means.

Susan D. Checcio Program for Creative Expression

As a devoted lover of the arts, especially the visual arts, Sue believed that an understanding and appreciation of art should be an important part of our lives. Through art, it is possible not only to have a better understanding of the world but our own individual place in it. The Susan Checcio Program for Creative Expression will be a vital part of our mission to celebrate creativity and inspire and connect people across our community on Philadelphia’s Main Line.

The Alberta Littlefield McCabe Scholarship Fund

Alberta L. McCabe was an accomplished artist who studied drawing and painting at Wayne Art Center and volunteered at a variety of arts and culture organizations in the Philadelphia region. Your support will provide scholarships to families whose children might not otherwise be able to benefit from the diverse range of arts educational programs that Wayne Art Center provides for individuals of all ages and abilities.

The Cindy Ritz Memorial Fund

Established in 2019 by the Ritz Family, this fund assists the creative pursuits of those who might not otherwise benefit from our educational programs.
