WAYNE ART CENTER ANNOUNCES WINTER LINEUP OF EXHIBITIONS

Beat the winter doldrums at Wayne Art Center with five impressive art exhibitions to explore over the next three months. From February 17 through March 14, Expressions of Radnor will be on display in the Davenport Gallery. Expressions of Radnor was established in 2001 as part of Radnor Township’s centennial celebration. Now in its 25th year, this much-anticipated exhibition showcases the talent of Radnor Township residents through a variety of mediums, including painting, photography, fiber, sculpture, ceramics, stained glass and mixed media works. “Expressions of Radnor is one of my favorite exhibits at Wayne Art Center because it lets us connect directly with Radnor artists and brings members of our immediate community together to celebrate them,” says Nancy Campbell, executive director of Wayne Art Center. “It is also an opportunity to thank the Township for being one of our major supporters.”

Painter and WAC art instructor Ernie Norcia will serve as Expressions of Radnor’s Juror of Awards. Norcia’s has taught for many years, including positions at PAFA, Moore, and other local universities. His recognition includes an Emmy, and awards from the American Artists Professional League of NYC, the Society of Illustrators, and the Portrait Society of America. The Expressions of Radnor awards, sponsored by local businesses and Wayne Art Center, will be given at a reception on Sunday, March 1, from 3-5 pm.

Joining Expressions of Radnor will be Speaking of Light — Jon Redmond & Students in the Ethel Clark Sargeant Galley. Jon Redmond is a contemporary American painter known for his light-filled landscapes and architectural paintings. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and earned his MFA from the University of Delaware. Over 50 of Redmond’s students’ artwork will be on display, along with featured paintings by Redmond.

Additionally, The Joyful Artist – Paintings by Debbie Craley will be in the Vidinghoff Gallery. Craley won Best of Show in Expressions of Radnor 2025 for her oil painting Embraceable Ewe. She has been an avid WAC student for over two decades and has found art to be a constant enriching source of joy throughout her life.

At the same time, Wayne Art Center will showcase artistic creations by Timothy School students in the Culinary Kitchen Gallery.  WAC provides studio art classes at Timothy School which are tailored to students who have autism and pervasive developmental disorder, a developmental disability that affects social interaction, behavior and communication. Beloved by students and faculty alike, the Timothy School Art Exhibition provides an excellent outlet for these students’ creativity and expression.

The final Winter exhibition is the return of Art Quilt Elements 2026, an international juried exhibition of contemporary fine art quilts. This biennial show features the work of 55 artists from 22 states and two international locations including Australia and Luxenberg. The exhibition will run from March 23 through April 25, and be on display in the Davenport, Ethel Sergeant Clark Smith and Vidinghoff Galleries. This year’s jurors are award-winning mixed media fiber artist Toni Kersey; Karl Reichert, the Executive Director for the Textile Center in Minneapolis, MN; and Danielle Williams, Assistant Senior Managing Editor at Stampington & Company.

An awards ceremony and reception will be held on Sunday, March 29 from 3-5 pm which is free and open to the public. Exhibiting artists who are present will talk about their work during the Meet the Artists Gallery Talk. The work featured in AQE 2026 will also appear in an online gallery at artquiltelements.org.
