Education

Policies and Information

Please refer to the art materials list specific to each class. Registration for a class is for one participant. If you have more than one person participating from your household please register them each individually.

Education

Our mission is to foster our students' artistic development, whatever their level. Wayne Art Center's faculty members accomplish this by presenting lessons that form the building blocks of a strong foundation in the arts. Students are encouraged to continually challenge themselves and move forward in their artistic experience. Small class sizes ensure that students receive individual attention from their instructors and have the chance to interact with their fellow classmates. The Wayne Art Center's faculty members are working artists who have graduated from the nation's most respected art schools. Many have won awards for their work and are represented in public and private art collections around the country. Our cooking classes and workshops are taught by professional chefs who have worked in some of the most prestigious restaurants in the area and around the world. Learn more about our Faculty. In addition to our core classes, we offer special workshops by regionally and nationally known professional artists, as well as lectures by art historians, artists and jurors.

Membership

Join Today! As the Wayne Art Center is a non-profit, member-sponsored organization, a current yearly membership is required to enroll in all classes. Our membership year runs from September 1st - August 31st. Learn more about the benefits of becoming a Wayne Art Center member.

Private Lessons

Request a Private Lesson The Wayne Art Center offers private lessons for students looking for personalized instruction. Our staff will match you with a faculty member based on your interests and experience level. Lessons are scheduled according to teacher and student availability in blocks of four one-hour lessons at a time. Private lessons for one student, semi-private lessons for two to four students, and private group class for groups of five or more students
