Alexander Shanks was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1996 and began his artistic training at an early age through the teachings of his artist parents Nelson and Leona Shanks. Alexander graduated from Studio Incamminati, School for Contemporary Realism, and is currently achieving his MFA at the New York Academy of Art. Alexander has been a faculty member at Wayne Art Center, The Princeton Art Council, Culver Academy, Studio Incamminati and Peter’s Valley School of Craft. Alexander recently unveiled a major commissioned portrait at Pennsylvania Hospital and is excited to continue developing in the arts.
