Join us for a creative two-day ceramic workshop where you'll craft your own rainstick from clay, capturing the sound of rain in a ceramic form.

 

On Day One, we’ll begin by rolling out a slab of clay and adding texture and decoration to the surface. Once you're happy with your design, you’ll shape the slab into a tube, then insert three spiraling rows of nails that will create the signature rainstick sound once the many small clay balls are added. After sealing the top, your piece will be ready for bisque firing.

 

On Day Two, you’ll bring your rainstick to life by applying underglaze and glaze, enhancing the textures and details you created. Whether you’re new to ceramics or have some experience, this workshop is a fun and rewarding way to make a unique musical instrument. All materials and firings are included—just bring your creativity!
