Youth/Teen Education

BROWSE/REGISTER - SPRING YOUTH/TEENS CLASSES!

Our dedicated faculty of professional teachers and artists encourage our youngest students to build the basis for a creative life, working on confidence and problem-solving skills as they develop their artistic side.

Teen, ages 15+ are invited to enroll in certain adult level classes. We also welcome teens as year-round volunteers. Learn more about volunteering.

Membership

As the Wayne Art Center is a non-profit, member-sponsored organization, a current yearly membership is required to enroll in all classes. Our membership year runs from September 1st – August 31st. Memberships purchased after the fall session are pro-rated, and membership will be automatically applied when you enroll in your first class each year.

Private Art Lessons

Our talented faculty also offer private lessons for children ages 8 and up in drawing and painting, ceramics, and in acting and voice coaching. Lessons are scheduled according to teacher and student availability in blocks of four one-hour lessons at a time. For groups of five or more students, we will organize a private group class! Please use this contact form to ask about private lessons today.

Scholarships

The Wayne Art Center welcomes students of all backgrounds and offers full and partial scholarships to those who show documented financial hardship. Please call or stop by the front office to request a scholarship application form.

NO CREDITS WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER THE SECOND CLASS. NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN. Membership dues are non-refundable. No adjustments will be made for student absences. Refunds and credits cannot be issued for classes missed as a result of illness, personal emergencies or any other event beyond our control.
