Chocolate Mousse and Briochely Yours: New Fall Cooking Class with Chef Michele Haines

September 9, 2015

SEPTEMBER 9, 2015

The Wayne Art Center is pleased to introduce a new culinary series with chef Michele Haines of the Spring Mill Cafe.  “Chocolate Mousse and Briochely Yours” will explore the art and food loves of American cultural icons.  Imagine yourself dining in a Beverly Hills bungalow with Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller, or enjoying chocolate rolls and caviar with Jacqueline Onassis.  Follow the tastes of Louis Armstrong (who signed letters with “red beans and ricely yours…”) with his songs “Cheesecake” and “Comet Chop Suey.”   Chef Michele will also prepare the favorite foods of Miles Davis, William Shakespeare and other well-known foodies in the arts.

The class, which will incorporate cooking demonstrations and hands-on lessons, runs from October 14 through November 18.  The cost is $270.  Chef Michele Haines, who founded the Spring Mill Caef in Conshohocken in 1978, is a world-renowned chef who travels the globe teaching and sharing her knowledge.  She is particularly intrigued by the links between literature, food and art.
