“The first art center established on the Main Line, the Wayne Art Center began welcoming students more than 80 years ago in a carriage house garage. Today, situated on nearly three acres of mostly wooded land and under the direction of Nancy Campbell, the center opens its doors to more than 20,000 visitors each year and features over 500 art classes, workshops, lectures, exhibitions, and special events. Dedicated to enriching the community through the arts, the mission of the Wayne Art Center is to afford artists and the broader community, regardless of age, ability, or economic constraints, an interdisciplinary venue to explore, share, and learn, while fostering a sense of community for arts education and appreciation. The dedicated faculty of professional artists and exceptional teachers offer high-caliber art instruction in all phases of the visual, performing, and culinary arts. A variety of outreach programs provide complimentary classes for individuals who demonstrate need. With works from local to internationally acclaimed artists, the Wayne Art Center hosts more than 20 diverse exhibitions each year in exquisite galleries.”
